JAMB RESULT 2014: EVIDENCE OF CORRUPTION

JAMB RESULT 2014: EVIDENCE OF CORRUPTION
What?! exclaimed by a potential jamb candidate after knowing that #1500 is the amount to pay before checking his jamb result 2014.
It is arguably confirmed that the UTME board has developed this scheme for 2014 to increase their income through scratch cards. Last year, it wasn’t so. A student could pay a maximum #500 and in the next few minute it’s out.
This could be regarded as abduction done to these students who are just in search for admission. The UTME board knows that a minimum of 90% of students who wrote the exam must attempt to check their result and must pay that amount which would general lead to about several billions of naira. This is just for checking a UTME paper and pencil test results. This is quite a scandal, why would they charge like that? Which other country does jamb? Corruption is now fully in Nigeria’s education.
Same thing happened with the immigration service in Nigeria where several thousands of Nigerians (graduates) registered with #1000 just to sit for the test. Millions were made from it while many were rumored dead as a result of the stampede that occurred meanwhile not up to a thousand is needed for the employment. What is this?
This is highly scandalous; I wish young Nigerians could get up and fight against this. Let’s change this mindset and develop into a true patriotic and generous citizen. Let us stand together and fight against this corruption, and it begins with a change from YOU.
