The tale of time management 1.

The truth about time management.
Psalms 90 vs. 1 to 17; Ecclesiastes 3 vs. 1 to 8; Matthew 6 vs. 25 to 33;
The book of the Psalmist chapter 90 verses 12 wrote: Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
One of the most influenced pieces of literature (about time usage) I ever read was a little pamphlet written by Charles Hummel entitled: The tyranny of the urgent. In it explains that until we know the difference between the urgent and the important then we will never become good stewards of our time. Our lives are often ruled by the urgent because we have never taken the time to put things in their proper order of priority.
The man who influenced the world the most (JESUS CHRIST) was a man with a leisured heart. He was never flurried and never worried. But he always had time for the things that mattered.
Suppose we were talking face to face and I asked you: what do you propose to do at 5pm yesterday? What would you say? You might probably say: ‘Samuel, are you mad? I can’t decide what I shall do at 5pm yesterday – perhaps yesterday has come and gone.’ But what if I were to ask: ‘what do you intend to do at 5pm tomorrow?’ then you might say: ‘Ah, that’s different.’
The choice can still be made. Time past is gone over which we have no control; but time to come is time concerning which we must search ourselves because we cannot escape the responsibility of deciding how we will spend it. In other words, you decide how it goes, directly or indirectly. The use of time subjects us to a test of discipline, trying us as silver refined in a furnace.
Will your life be ruled by the important or by the urgent? YOU CAN DECIDE!
A little boy who was late for school prayed: ‘Lord, help me be there on time.’ He ran out of his house but stumbled and fell. ‘Lord,’ he said, ‘I asked you to help me, not push me.’ Don’t let life push you; you will stumble if you do.
Take my advice today, don’t procrastinate but rather develop the “do it now attitude.”
Use your time well.
